FIELDING

FIELDING:

FIELDING IS VERY IMPORTANT PART OF CRICKET.Fielding in the sport of cricket is the action of fielders in collecting the ball after it is struck by the batsman, in such a way either to limit the number of runs that the batsman scores or to get the batsman out by catching the ball in flight or running the batsman out. Cricket fielding position can be broken down into offside and legside parts of the field.Since there are only 11 players on a team, one of whom is the bowler, and usually another as the wicket-keeper, at most nine other fielding positions can be used.

Fielding positions:

FIELDING TIPS:

WICKET KEEPING:

The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being guarded by the batsman currently on strike.

FAST BOWLING

PACE BOWLING:

Fast bowling, sometimes known as pace bowling, is one of the two main approaches to bowling in the sport of cricket. The aim of fast bowling is to bowl the hard cricket ball at high speed and to induce it to bounce off the pitch in an erratic fashion or move sideways through the air, factors which make it difficult for the batsman to hit the ball cleanly. A typical fast delivery has a speed in the range of 137–153 km/h.
Classification of fast bowlers:
Typekm/hmph
Fast≥142≥89
Fast-Medium130-14181-88
Medium-Fast120-12975-80
Medium96-11960-74

Variations:

SWING BOWLING:

Swing bowlers cause the ball to move laterally through the air.Conventional swing is usually greatest when the ball is new and therefore has a pronounced seam. As the ball gets older, the wear makes swing more difficult to achieve. When the ball has been polished highly on one side and not on the other and if the ball is bowled very fast (over 85 miles per hour), it produces a reverse swing such that the ball swings in the opposite direction as in conventional swing.

IN NETS:

BATTING COACHING

Batting:

In the sport of cricketbatting is the act or skill of hitting the cricket ball with a cricket bat to score runs or prevent the loss of one's wicket. A player who is currently batting is denoted as a batsman, while the act of hitting the ball is called a shot or stroke.

STARTING:

STRAIGHT DRIVE:

drive is a straight-batted shot, played by swinging the bat in a vertical arc through the line of the ball, hitting the ball in front of the batsman along the ground.

LEG GLANCE:

leg glance is a delicate straight-batted shot played at a ball aimed slightly on the leg side, using the bat to flick the ball as it passes the batsman, and requiring some wrist work as well, deflecting towards the square leg or fine leg area.

PULL SHOT:

pull is a cross-batted shot played to a ball bouncing around waist height by swinging the bat in a horizontal arc in front of the body, pulling it around to the leg side towards mid-wicket or square leg.

SWEEP SHOT:

sweep is a cross-batted front foot shot played to a low bouncing ball, usually from a slow bowler, by kneeling on one knee, bringing the head down in line with the ball and swinging the bat around in a horizontal arc near the pitch as the ball arrives, sweeping it around to the leg side.

OFF DRIVE:

Off drive is played with the full face of the bat towards the off side.

POWER SHOTS:

SPIN COACHING

SPIN BOWLING:

OFF SPIN:

Off spin bowling in the sport of cricket is bowled by an off spinner.Off spin is generally considered less difficult to play than leg spin.It turns from left to right.

LEG SPIN:

Leg spin is a type of Spin bowling in the sport of cricket. A leg spinner bowls with a wrist spin action, causing the ball to spin from right to left in the cricket pitch, at the point of delivery. When the ball bounces, the spin causes the ball to deviate sharply from right to left.

SLOW LEFT ARM:

Left-arm orthodox spin also known as Slow Left Arm Orthodox is a type of Left Arm Finger Leg spin bowling. Left-arm orthodox spin is bowled by a left-arm bowler using the fingers to spin the ball from right to left of the cricket pitch.
